Due to staff shortages, call times may be longer than usual. We apologise for this inconvenience.

If you believe you have Monkeypox, or have come into contact in the last 21 days with someone who has or have symptoms consistent with the case definition, please do not come into Sandyford without phoning first: 01412118130.

COVID regulations are changing, however physical distancing and face coverings are still required at health care settings across Scotland.

Please note that appointment only clinics are still in place. Find out more about Sandyford's current service updates here.

Service Update

Sandyford COVID Statement

In line with government guidelines, where possible we are still minimising face-to-face work and prioritising those with the most urgent care needs. We are delivering these as appointment only services. We appreciate your patience as we do this. It does mean that we might say you need to wait until the service you need is running as normal again.  This is so we can ensure we keep patients and staff safe. You must not book into a service if you have signs of COVID or have been in contact with someone in the last 10 days who has. We are currently restricted in most cases to seeing patients staying in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area only, so we may ask you to contact another clinic linked to your registered address. There are also some conditions that are better managed by your GP, or by your local pharmacy, so we may also suggest you try there first.

    Information on attending services

Our services are set up for social distancing with one way signs, plastic screens where appropriate and our staff will be wearing masks. You are also asked to wear a face covering when you attend.

Please do not bring any other person with you to your appointment including children, partners, friends or family members. They will be asked to wait outside the building.

    Booking Contraception Appointments Online

We understand that some people are finding it difficult to obtain a contraception appointment online.

We do acknowledge that the number of appointments we have currently can outstrip the number of patients looking for an appointment. This means that once we have added a clinic the appointments get booked up very quickly. This is why we recommend checking as often as you are able to look for an available appointment.

Prior to the pandemic, many GP surgeries were carrying out these contraception appointments within their own surgeries, however this service has not yet resumed again for all of them. This has therefore significantly increased the number of patients looking to access this service within all of our Sandyford sites. A number of GP practices do offer contraceptive appointments though. You can check with your own GP practice if this is available.

    Call back calls from Sandyford

We have been told that some patients are not receiving our calls. This can be caused by blocking 0800 numbers to your phone as our calls come from a 0800 number. Please check that your phone is set to accept calls from 0800 numbers if you have agreed to accept a call back from us.

    Booking Appointments by Phone

Not all Sandyford services can be booked online. You will find direct contact information for each service on their dedicated page.
Call us on: 0141 211 8130 if needed.

If you are phoning to make an appointment, you will be offered the next available appointment, which may not be at your nearest clinic. If you cannot make that appointment you may be asked to call back at another time.

    Delay with results

We apologise that results are taking longer than usual to come back right now. Please continue to call for your results as you have been asked to do. Further information on getting results can be viewed at the getting my results section.
