Sexual Health Services

Sandyford Services: COVID-19

Sandyford Sexual Health Services has moved to delivering its most urgent services only, due to COVID-19. This is so we can ensure we keep patients and staff safe. This means that in line with government guidelines, we are minimising face-to-face work and prioritising those with the most urgent care needs. We appreciate your patience as we do this. It does mean that we might say you need to wait until the service you need is running again.

We are currently restricted in most cases to seeing patients staying in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area only, so we may ask you to contact another clinic linked to your registered address. There are also some conditions that are better managed by your GP, or by your local pharmacy, so we may also suggest you try there first.

Appointment only service:

You will only be seen at Sandyford if you have made the correct appointment for the service you need. Appointments can be made on the phone and some clinics also have online bookings. If booking online, it is your responsibility to make sure you meet the patient criteria for the appointment you are booking. Even if the online booking service has accepted your booking, if you do not meet the criteria when you arrive in clinic, we will not be able to see and you will be asked to make another appointment.

To make an appointment or if you are in doubt as to whether you need to be seen by the sexual health service telephone 0141 211 8130. Our staff will be able to advise you. They will ask you a few questions and may need to ask another member of staff to call you back.

Call-back phone calls:

We have been told that some patients are not receiving our calls. This can be caused by blocking 0800 numbers to your phone as our calls come from a 0800 number. Please check that your phone is set to accept calls from 0800 numbers if you have agreed to accept a call back from us.
