Sexual Health Services

We are the specialist sexual health service for
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

When you attend any Sandyford service you can expect to be listened to without being judged and for your treatment and care to be sensitive and confidential. Sandyford Central is the headquarters based at Charing Cross Glasgow. We have clinics throughout Glasgow and Clyde that are reopening as we all recover from the COVID pandemic. Sandyford services uses the same electronic record system which ever clinic or venue you attend so you can use the one which best meets your needs. All services are free, including your prescription if needed.

Service Update

Sandyford continues to comply with Public Health guidelines. To ensure the health and safety of both patients and staff, we still require face masks to be worn at all times for those that are able.
Restricted services are still in place including appointment only clinics, to continue to protect the public and staff.
Please do not attend Sandyford if you have Mpox, COVID-19 or are showing symptoms of either.

Private Testing

We are aware that some people are choosing to have an STI test through a private clinic or through a privately provided at home STI testing kit. Please note that Sandyford and Brownlee are unable to offer treatment to patients unless they have been tested by the NHS.  Therefore, if you are under taking a STI test in a commercial venue or at home you may wish to check if it is a NHS run project.

What to Expect at Sandyford

All the information you need about your visit to Sandyford. Before, during and after the appointment.

Attending Sandyford

Please ensure that you arrive at Sandyford around 10 minutes before your appointment is due to start. This is so that you can register before you attend your appointment.

Children – Children will not always be allowed into your appointment with you. This is because it is not always safe to have children in the clinical room. You are welcome to bring an adult with you, to Sandyford to look after your children when you attend your appointment, as we do not have childcare facilities available. If you do bring children with you without another adult, the clinician may decide the procedure needs to be rearranged.
