Please note Sandyford clinics will be shut on Monday 28th September 2020 for public holiday.
Sandyford Sexual Health Services has moved to delivering its most urgent services only, due to COVID-19. This is so we can ensure we keep patients and staff safe. This means that in line with government guidelines, we are minimising face-to-face work and prioritising those with the most urgent care needs. We appreciate your patience as we do this. It does mean that we might say you need to wait until the service you need is running again.
If you are in doubt as to whether you need to be seen by the sexual health service telephone 0141 211 8130. Our staff will be able to advise you.
You can only attend clinics if you have made an appointment before you arrive. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no services are available without an appointment.
Please do not bring any other person with you to your appointment including children, partners, friends or family members. They will be asked to wait outside the building. You are asked to wear a face covering when you attend as per Government advice.
You do not need a referral from a medical professional to attend My Body Back. We are open to all women and trans men living in the west of Scotland.
You can book a My Body Back appointment online for a time that suits you.
We have appointments on one Saturday each month and the clinics are staffed by health professional who work with women who have experienced sexual violence. We offer tea and biscuits, and do everything we can to help women feel calm and in a good frame of mind. Someone from our team can discuss your needs, and how we can make sure you are as comfortable as possible throughout the test. Phone 0141 278 2517 for more information.
Coming to your appointment
From time to time there may be other Sandyford clinics on at the same time as My Body Back so the waiting room may seem busy. However after checking in to the main reception we will welcome you to a sectioned off quiet area. Partners are welcome but due to the sensitivities of other clients they may be asked to wait in the main waiting room. It is best not to bring children and there are no child care facilities in the building. There is a lovely park across the road with several play areas if you are able to leave your children with a trusted adult. After your appointment there is psychological support available and our team can help direct you to any ongoing support
