Regular testing for STIs is important for your health and your partners’ health. If you’re having condomless sex it’s recommended to test every three months. Otherwise, testing once a year is a good routine. Testing is quick, free and confidential.
Modern HIV treatment means HIV is now a long term health condition which is easy to manage. Many people still don’t know that modern HIV treatment can help you stay healthy and mean you cannot pass the virus on to others. Some people worry about testing for HIV, but knowing your status means you can access effective treatment early. Learn more about HIV and common misconceptions at: hivstigma.scot
