On this page you can find information on:
When to call
Our website should have all the information you need on our services and NHS Inform has a variety of information on sexual health.
As our phonelines are very busy taking calls to book appointments that are phone bookings only, we ask that you only call us when necessary. Please consult the information below to understand when it is necessary to call.
When to book an appointment over the phone
Only some of our services are booked over the phone. This is usually for issues requiring urgent attention – like if you have been exposed to HIV, or have symptoms of an STI. Many services can be booked online via the National Sexual Health Online Booking Portal.
Please be sure to check the specific booking details on each of our service pages before calling us.
To cancel or reschedule an appointment made over the phone
Please call us to let us know if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment you booked over the phone on tel:+441412118130 (Monday to Friday, 8:45 – noon, 1pm – 4pm).
What to do if no appointments are available online
If no appointments are available online then we are fully booked. The online booking portal and our phonelines operate from the same system so additional appointments won’t be offered over the phone. Please continue checking regularly for appointments which will be online as they become available.
How to cancel or reschedule an appointment
If your appointment was booked via the national sexual health booking portal you can cancel or reschedule this online through the same portal. If it was booked over the phone please call us on tel:+441412118130 (Monday to Friday, 8:45 – noon, 1pm – 4pm).
If you are running late for an appointment
To relieve pressures on our phonelines we ask that you please do not call us if you are running late as we will be unable to alter your appointment time. Please speak to a member of the reception team when you arrive and we will try our best to accommodate you. However we may need to ask you to rebook.
If you are having issues with the online booking portal
If you are experiencing technical issues or having difficulties using the portal please call us and we will do our best to help. However, if there there are no appointments available online then we are fully booked. The online booking portal and our phonelines operate from the same system so additional appointments can not be offered over the phone.
The portal is currently being updated. Find out more
