Information on accessibility options and help for your browser

Many web browsers have accessibility features, which help you use the web in the way that best suits you. We recommend you select the browser which best suits your needs, and these links give you some helpful guidance whether you want to best configure your web browser or download a more suitable one.

Note that there are many different web browsers available, and many versions of each of them, so it would be impractical for us to list them all here. We have chosen the most popular as a guide that you may find useful.

Our approach to providing information in other languages

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is committed to producing information in other languages as required.  If you require particular information in an other language please contact us.

Please be aware that although automatic translators available on the internet can be useful you should never rely on them alone for detailed and accurate translation of important health information.

Sandyford provides a range of information in community languages including BSL and if English is not your first language, you can have an interpreter appointed by the NHS at your appointment. Patients can now access the interpreting service “Direct Patient Access to Interpreting Service” before calling Sandyford Switchboard to help make an appointment.

Tell us if you need information in a different format

In your message please include:

  • the web address (URL) of the content
  • your email address and name
  • the format you need – for example, plain text, braille, BSL, large print or audio format

Please send your requests to ggc.communication.sandyford@nhs.scot
