Refugee Week 2021

Refugee Week 2021 takes place from 14-20 June.

This year, the theme is ‘We Cannot Walk Alone.’

Hosted by Refugee Week, a UK-wide festival which celebrates the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees, this year’s theme is an invitation to extend our hands to those are our new to us or have lived through experiences that we have not.

At Sandyford, we are committed to ensuring that our services are accessible to all, and have been developing our website and resources to be available in a wide range of languages.

We have recently updated our Information in Community Languages page, which hosts information in a variety of languages. We are committed to continue to produce information in all languages that are needed and encourage anyone who requires any further translated resources to contact us directly.

Alongside this development, we have also created a section of our website specifically for Asylum Seekers. This page demonstrates Sandyford’s services and how to access them, whilst remaining accessible by having this information in a range of community languages.

Sandyford also offers an interpreter service, so that patients who do not speak English can request an interpreter at their appointment. For more information on this service, click here.

Sandyford aims to support the population of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to enjoy good and positive sexual health. To find out more about our accessibility, click here.
