Attending Sandyford & What to Expect

Please ensure that you arrive at Sandyford around 10 minutes before your appointment is due to start. This is so that you can register before you attend your appointment.

Our What to Expect page explains all you need to know about attending Sandyford before, during and after your appointment.

This includes our attending with children guidance and other crucial information.

Please be sure to read this before attending your appointment.

Call back from Sandyford

Please be aware that NHSGGC has changed their outbound telephone number from 0800 678 3393 to a 0141 number.

As with the 0800 number, if the 0141 number is called back there is a message that says ‘this number does not accept incoming calls’.

Missed appointments

People failing to attend appointments accounted for as much as 29% of allocated appointments at some clinics last year. This unfortunately negatively impacts those waiting for appointments, and means an increase in waiting times for those who do wish to attend.

If you can no longer attend your appointment, or you need to reschedule, please either manage your appointment via our Online Booking portal (if this is how you booked it originally), or call us.

If your appointment is at Paisley, Parkhead or Woodside please phone them directly:

Paisley: 01413149402
Parkhead: 0141 232 7413
Woodside: 0141 201 5506

For all other clinics, please phone our main switchboard: 0141 211 8130.

Please note: In line with NHS GGC policy, we offer patients 2 reasonable appointments. If you cancel both of these, we will not offer you a 3rd appointment option. In this circumstance, you will need to be re-referred by your GP to the service.

Private Testing

We are aware that some people are choosing to have an STI test through a private clinic or through a privately provided at home STI testing kit. Please note that Sandyford and Brownlee are unable to offer treatment to patients unless they have been tested by the NHS.  Therefore, if you are under taking a STI test in a commercial venue or at home you may wish to check if it is a NHS run project.
